was born in Dublin and completed a BA (hons) in Fine Art painting in NCAD in 2004. She has been living in Clifden, Connemara since a residency with the Atlantic Art Gallery in Clifden from 2004-05.
Shelly curates the annual group exhibition The Coach House Show in Dublin Castle, now in its sixth year.
Her current work is painted using a unique method of blending crushed charcoal with beeswax and linseed oil. The images of night-time landscapes are painted from memory which creates in them a dreamlike, almost romantic quality.
