Caroline Herriott - Painter - Connemara Art Link

Caroline Herriott is based near Letterfrack in Connemara. She was born and brought up in the area and studied Art & Design at GMIT, Galway, specialising in painting. She is also qualified with a City & Guilds certificate in the traditional craft of signwriting and has several years experience of producing original hand-painted signs for businesses locally and further afield. She now runs a web and graphic design business Cuán Mara Design and launched the Connemara ArtLink website in early 2009 to help promote and raise the profile of artists in Connemara.

In her decorative paintings Caroline draws on her experience as a sign-writer and graphic designer. Gloss enamels, with their bold, saturated colours, are an ideal medium to create pieces which are modern, colourful and vibrant. More recently she has also experimented with the medium of fused glass.
